Obituary of Fred Toews

TOEWS, Fred
In his 73rd year, passed away suddenly on a fishing trip with his sons near Temagami on September 2, 2018.  Beloved husband of Susanne (Darowski) for 4 years and the late Beverly (Moody) (2008).  Loving and dedicated dad to Janet and Gerrid Oltrop, Marc and Kathie Toews, Phillip and Susie Toews, and Daric and Natasha Toews.   He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Kevin, Spencer, Adam, Eric, Rachel, Reed and Boden.  Dear step-father of Peter Darowski and his children Zachary and Dominique. Predeceased by his parents Cornelius and Jessie Toews and in-laws Ray and Joy Moody.  Loving brother of the late Jake and Robin Toews, Dave and Linda Toews. Will be missed by sisters-in-law Darlene Ankelwich and Linda Hollingsworth, many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Fred was the owner of B & F Signs in Wheatley and co-founder of Water Furnace Inc. for many years.  Fred was an active member in several churches throughout his life, especially F.G.T. and in the last few years, a vital member of Lighthouse Kingsville.  Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral Service to celebrate Fred's Life from Lakepoint Family Church, 285 Talbot Street East, Leamington on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.  Rev. Nathan Albrecht and Rev. Bonnie Dekold officiating.  Interment Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
