Sunday, March 17, 2019Shirley and I were coworkers for many years at The Windsor Star. I had great respect for her as a colleague and appreciated our friendship. I am happy we kept in touch after both of our retirements and we always had fun reminiscing about the "good ole days" Shirley was a wonderful lady and will be missed by many.

Saturday, March 16, 2019Lynne,Gerry and the Dobson family; My condolences are sent to the Dobson family. Your Aunt Shirley was a very dear friend of mine. I met her 46 years ago, and she was my mentor. She worked hard and taught me so much throughout the years. Our friendship continued after she retired. We had so much fun together and I will miss her sense of humour and all our outings. So sad I lost such a good friend.

Saturday, March 16, 2019My condolences to the Dobson family. Shirley was a wonderful lady. She had a great sense of humour and was always interested in going out for fun. She helped me each Sunday with my NFL football picks. We never won, but this women sure knew her football. It always saddened me when her pet dog (s) would die because she was always so kind to them and caring when it came to her pets. Who knows maybe they will all get together again.

I was able to spend some time With Shirley in Jan 2019, we had a great afternoon together and she let me in on some wonderful authors and books that she had been reading. She was a woman of great integrity, compassion and was someone you inspired to be like. She will be missed.
