To my father… You were an extraordinary man and gave us unconditional love. You talked things out and wore your heart on your sleeve. You never turned your back on any of us even when we made a mistake. Your love was so strong it could be woven into a blanket of warmth and wrapped tight around us; it was that incredible. Dad, your sense of humor was contagious, you loved to joke and kid around and nothing was off limits. You were able to lift us up with your laugh and smile when you walked in a room. You were empathetic and were sensitive to others when they were in pain. My four children and I were so blessed to have such an amazing father/grandfather. There are no words to express how good and loving you were to us. Although we knew you suffered later in life with pain and were hurting, you were always there to support us. Our hearts are broken for now, but I know we will see you again at Heaven’s Gate. You are in a better place. We have been truly blessed to have had you in our lives. Our hearts will be forever missing you, but our souls are enriched with all the knowledge and love you have given us… Until we meet again.
