Sorry to read of Catherine’s death. The inevitable is always difficult. One of the best obits we have read in some time, at our age,
we read them every day. I have known the family since the mid fifties and saw the children grow and mature. There are so many things I’ve learned from the obit which we as neighbours did not know. An excellent story has been told. Rest in peace Catherine. The boatman Charon at the River Sytyx must have greeted such a bubbly personality with open arms.

My love to the Dwyer family. Virginia and I were close friends through high school, and EVERYONE was always welcome in the Dwyer household. I recall one day, when there were at least 5 non family children around, Catherine asked, 'how many of you are staying for supper? I need to know howmuch breadcrumbs to add so
I can stretch the meatloaf'. She was generous, kind, and a great role model. May she rest peacefully.

Our favourite memories of Aunt Kaye are the weekends we’d spend with her (usually in May and October). We’d arrive mid-afternoon and there would always be devilled eggs (the whole tray just for us!) and one of our favourite desserts waiting in the fridge. We’d sit in the front porch, Eileen and me scarfing down the eggs with our Rusty Nails and Aunt Kaye sipping her Bayley’s. There would be outings to visit Allan or Janice or for a meal out or a bit of touristy shopping, but mostly it was just two days of relaxed conversation (never a lag), with just the three of us. We loved those times because we loved her so much and her company was always just so enjoyable!
We’d also like to say how courageous Aunt Kaye was. She faced a lot of physical challenges throughout her last decade, but she didn’t let those sour her or get in the way of her wide-ranging interests in what was going on in the world around her and with those she loved.
Rest in peace, Aunt Kaye. We will always treasure your presence in our lives and our memories!

Aunt Kaye was so special in our lives.
Her wicked sense of humour, her fabulous desserts, her thoughtful cards and mementos, our wonderful telephone calls, these are just a few of our memories.
The tribute and the video well capture her.
May all the great memories help to ease your loss.
There must be a grand reunion going on in heaven!!
Much love to all our cousins.

Janice & Family,
Our condolences go out to the family during this difficult time.
Catherine was such a wonderful person!
I could sit here and reminence about all the good old times, the many laughs and fun, we had during our adventures of knowing and being part of her life, just as much as, she was a part of ours.
The memories of having her at our Armstrong gatherings, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
Catherine, Pat and Sheila having to go on their ice cream trips to Burgesses.
Many times Catherine, Pat and Paul would stop in after Church service, or just when they were out for a drive, to join us for lunch or dinner.
Their visits were uplifting!
Those were memories that will never be forgotten, but will always remain in our hearts.
You're all in our thoughts and prayers,
Gwen, Sheila &Tammy Armstrong

So sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. She was always so welcoming and made everyone feel so special. Loved the pop-in visits she used to do. She was a very good friend to my mom; her very first friend when we moved to Leamington. They remained very good friends to the end.
I have very fond memories of many happy/fun times at your welcoming home. Always someone to play with, and wonderful homemade treats for all!
I know she will always be in our hearts.
Hugs and prayers to all of you, as you help each other find strength from your loss.

Mrs. Dwyer, was an amazing woman with the kindest heart. Being a colleague of my Mom’s,Sheila Hannigan Harris, for years at St. Louis school, they shared fun times and a great friendship with each other spanning many years.
When we were young children, my brothers and sister and I always looked forward to her homemade baking. We especially, loved her Ice Cream cake!! Still better than Dairy Queen’s.
I remember many visits at 8 Jones street after school with Janice. I’ll never forget the day Gary released all his captured frogs on Janice and I in the backyard...Mrs. Dwyer saved us!
Later in Life, I would see Mrs. Dwyer at Mass with the Armstrong’s and we would catch up on each other lives.
Please know I’m thinking of all of you all at this difficult time.

My family has such fond memories of her. I remember staying over and the rooms with twin beds and waking up to little boxes of cereal. Back then we only had boring cereal but she gave us all the fun ones like fruit loops. I also remember my parents bed was always covered in a quilt she knit for their wedding. I always thought that quilt was so amazing and beautiful.
My mom also remembers her sending a card when I was born because she was so happy that there would be another Hugh in the family. :)
She was an amazing woman and will be missed.
Our sincere condolences from the McPherson Family.

Kaye was my first cousin once removed, but she was always Auntie Kaye to me. It was always a fun day when we drove down to Leamington from Windsor to visit Kaye, Grattan, and my second cousins, especially Virginia & Philip.
She really truly was all the wonderful things in her glowing and loving memorial, and more than that. Her little chuckle when I spoke meant she was hearing a whole other level than I ever realized then. Kaye was my Confirmation Sponsor, and I always knew I could count on her for the truth, and always with kindness and a laugh.
VG, Phil, and Vic are my old friends and buddies. I know they've lost someone irreplaceable. To you three, and the rest of my cousins, Sean, Allan, Janis, and Gary, I send you my heartfelt sense of kinship and love and loss. Kaye was without a doubt the best woman I knew as a kid. In my later years, I have considered her a bodhisattva, an enlightened being who chooses to remain in the cycle of rebirth in order to help others.
Auntie Kaye would chuckle at that. Heaven got lucky when she came home.
Condolences to everyone who knew her & loved her. Have fun, Auntie Kaye. I know you will.
love always, Daryl Dwyer (Kroell) and sons Jesse & Joshua and grandson Jake.

My condolences to Mrs. Dwyer’s family. I never had her as a teacher at St. Michael’s but I do remember one somewhat humorous incident at school. Mrs. Jackson, whose classroom was across the hall from Mrs. Dwyer, had asked her to witness me getting the strap. I’m sure I didn’t deserve it but we all went out into the hallway and Mrs. Jackson began my punishment. However, the harder she hit my hand the more I grinned. She became quite red in the face as I remember. Finally she and Mrs. Dwyer couldn’t hold back and broke into great laughter and sent me back to class. Mrs. Dwyer had a great sense of humour.
I am very sorry for your loss.

With my deepest condolences to Mrs Dwyer’s family. I had your Mom as a teacher back in approximately 1953 when, because we where so overcrowded at St Michael’s, we had our classes in the old high school, which was across the road on Talbot from the then current high school. We had so much fun going there, would walk over from St Michael’s after Mass. If my memory serves me the class was grade 5 & 6. She also many years later taught at St Louis which my children attended. She was always ready with a good rejoinder to any comment.
I believe she lived her life to the fullest enjoying every moment. May your memories help you through this sad time.

The Mockos grew up across from "Mrs. Dwyer" & family from 1955. I spent a lot of time playing over there. Just had to look over from # 7 & see who was ready to create havoc. Every time that I came home from university or Almonte or Ottawa , I would look to see if Catherine [I finally felt comfortable enough to call her that] was in her "chair". Then I would go over & catch up on her kids , neighbours and life. Sharp lady. Strong lady. Great wit . smile & laugh. The eyes..... RIP "Mrs Dwyer"

Mrs. Dwyer holds the fondest memories for former students like myself, at St.Michael School. I distinctly remember where her office was on the second floor of the school and how she was always so available to help students. Her dedication to helping others continued until just a few years ago when she called to ask me to have my students write Christmas cards for the shut-ins of our parish. May she rest in peace.

Catherine was the dearest “ Irish” lady I ever had the privilege of knowing. Blessed with wonderful recipes- that she always shared with me and my children. Everytime I had a baby, apple crisp, chocolate-chip cookies or an ice-cream cake showed up at my door. Her sense of humour could have landed her a stint on SNL!!!
I hope her children are celebrating Heaven’s newest saint !!
