Ken, old colleague and friend we will miss you. We will miss your wrye sense of humour, your enthusiasm for all you touched from flowers to chess and, Yes, even to bridge--a game we do no even understand. Ken old friend, you were a fine scholar; a Professor of history and a man with a curious and inquiring mind. Over the many years we knew you and Kaye we so often met at Windsor Symphony concerts in Leamington and at University Players performances and, well Ken, do you recall the last time we met while wandering separately in Stratford? You loved Leamington--perhaps it was the proximity of water and hints from your Maritime background--. You and Kaye loved your home and the Horticultural Society in Leamington. You initiated construction of a public outdoor chess forum at Leamington Marina. You were also a productive academic and a wonderful collection of historical essays related to southwestern Ontario carries your name. Similarly, that volume commemorating the50th anniversary of the University of Windsor carries your name.
Ken Pryke, we want to thank you and honour your memory for all you did for the University of Windsor, for Leamington and your friends within the community. Goodbye Old Friend.
