It is with a saddened heart that we express our deepest sympathy to the Merle family on the passing of a loving Mother. She, like Kaspar, took such a great interest in those of us who would call Frank, our friend. As teenagers and young adults, we were always generously welcomed to the Merle house as guests for some TV or a game of pool after school or post-Baptist church basketball scrimages. As was the German tradition, there were many times "eine flasche bier" from the fridge when we were old enough. She and Kaspar always made us feel special. May happiness return to you all soon.
