It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Gilberto on January 27, 2022 at 94 years of age. Reunited with his loving wife Maria do Carmo Furtado Reis, his son Lucas Reis (surviving wife Fatima) and his granddaughter Inez Aguiar Smith. Dear father of Margaret Reis Aguiar and husband Francisco and Manuel Reis. Cherished grandfather of Elizabeth, Frankie, Michele, Nicole, Monica, Liza and Joseph. Great grandfather of 10 great grandchildren. Visiting at Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) on Monday January 31, 2022 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. On Tuesday February 1, 2022 relatives and friends are invited to gather directly at St. Michael’s Church, 29 Elliott Street, Leamington for Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Due to COVID restrictions, visitation and the funeral mass are limited to a specific number of visitors. Only those with an appointment will be allowed in.
